In Canada I only have hayfever in Spring & Summer, it's very bizarre to me that it's starting all over again because there are plenty of trees blooming in Autumn here!<br />Walking is awesome too - aren't you loving how fitness minded all of our knitting friends are becoming!!!Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07279451585073923433noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7917851399134986419.post-19233937480163990422013-04-06T05:51:55.489-07:002013-04-06T05:51:55.489-07:00What a lot of beautiful projects you have finished...What a lot of beautiful projects you have finished. It sounds like your running is going well. I was never a runner as I could never get my breathing right to go for long enough but my sister was always quite good at it. I am trying to start walking again for an hour a day, so far 1 day has been accomplised as the hayfever kicked in so hopefully tomorrow I will be better to start again!Suehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02893692345113831018noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-7917851399134986419.post-20223838809370956182013-02-05T11:19:13.836-08:002013-02-05T11:19:13.836-08:00All sounds great Shelle! Base...You have rain, we have snow and cooler temps. Based on how warm climes don\'t fair so well in winter, I think I prefer the chill. LA and Arizona are having flooding probs. LA even had a tornado touch down. Florida is having chilly weather and the fruit is freezing. We had a small dump of snow and shovelled. Thankfully we do not have to worry about landmines anywhere in Canada. Even with a guide-wow-worrying about landmines on vacation. They had the bid fund raiser on TV for Haiti and raised oodles of $$$. Hopefully the majority of it gets to the aid of the people and not the underground. So much suffering. They have no homes and the suicide bombers just keep killing. The Olympics are the big thing in Canada. Only a couple weeks and they have no snow. They are going to use straw and truck it in for some of the events. Maybe the cold weather we are going to get this week will be a sign that Whistler will get some snow. Nothing they can do about it now. Just putzing here into the late evening-my fav time as you know. Paid bills, balanced cheque book and then remembered to check your blog. Quiet weekend. Keep up the great descriptions of your fun times. My heav...Happy New Year to you...what an adventure. My heavens-I could not do what you are doing. I don\'t think I could have even done it when I was your age. Now I like luxury and worry free travelling. Gecko poop and creatures in the night would not be my idea of fun-and having my footwear obsconded at every turn--crippers-customs be damned! LOL. Your love of life and people shines thru in your treatise-you show such compassion even in your short essays. Despite your love of the fun and craziness, you are not forgetting to take in the culture and the experience of each land. I follow your trek on maps and read about the places you go. I had never heard of the Full Moon party then googled it-wow-I can see why you could not miss such an experience. As you alluded in your comments about posting pics on Facebook-I will await your return and you can send a few via email. I can\'t believe that you still have til Mar before you return. At least you are missing winter-I am not sure if you heard about Haiti and the earthquake-that country is in full blown catastrophe mode. So many people are trying to get their suffering under control. We have sent money to Doctors without Borders-wonderful organization. Much like the Friends without A Border-unbelievable people who reach out with amazing compassion and caring. Do be careful and alert. If you feel a sense of foreboding - heed your "spidey senses"---take protection seriously. Our weather has improved considerably since after Xmas. We have been having +2C temps-the cars are filthy. Sounds like January will be one of the better months. Only 2 more months to go--always a bonus to have winter on the mild side for the most part. My sister\'s birthday is Jan 10th and normally we are in deep freeze-generally that is the coldest day of winter but this year was a record +3C-wohoo!! Well as always-I am past my bedtime.
